Millennium Nannies evolved as a natural extension of sister company Millennium Au Pairs, in response to the need for more qualified & experienced live in childcarers for babies and pre-school children. Founder Jackie Gallacher, formerly a journalist, decided to use her communication skills to raise the standards of the nanny recruitment sector. Nanny agencies are unregulated by government and parents can have a hard job to find an agency they can trust to put forward only suitably qualified and properly screened candidates.

Millennium Nannies specialises in live in native English speaking nannies and sole charge mother's helps, recruited by our trusted overseas partners. We cater for every requirement, from experienced but unqualified sole charge mother's helps to the most qualified and experienced nanny.

Our overseas agents vet every candidate thoroughly prior to their taking up employment in the UK. Every Live In Nanny is personally interviewed and full checks are done in the home country, including police checks. We firmly believe that complete checks cannot be done on overseas candidates any better than in their home country. For this reason most of our candidates are not available for face to face interviews in the UK but can be interviewed over the telephone. Extensive information can also be exchanged through the Agency and direct emails with the candidates.

Once an offer has been made an accepted, and a contract or host family agreement signed, your Live in Nanny or Mothers Help will travel to the UK to take up her position with your family. Unless they have British passports or ancestral rights of abode in the UK, Australian Nannies or Mothers Helps will need to apply for 2 year Youth Mobility Visa before travelling to the UK. Once they are in the UK we are on hand to offer advice and support should it be required and we actively encourage open communication between the host family and the Live In Nanny or Mothers Help.
